Victor Harbour Welcomes Nightcap at Hotel Victor

Granite Island
From Victor Harbour, Granite Island Recreational Park is just a short stroll or horse tram ride away. With massive granite boulders and waves splashing against the rocky shores, Granite Island is beautiful and dramatic, exciting and relaxing. Enjoy bushwalking, whale watching, mountain biking, fishing or simply soaking up the beautiful scenery.

 

The Bluff Lookout
For spectacular 360-degree views of Granite Island and the southern coastline, head to The Bluff Lookout accessible via the 800m Rosetta Trail loop. It’s a somewhat steep, moderate walk with spectacular views and prime photo ops.

 

Horse Drawn Tram
Dating back to the late 19th century, the Horse Drawn Tram along the causeway from Victor Harbour to Granite Island is iconic to the area, and continues to take passengers to and fro. It’s a “can’t miss” for anyone visiting Victor Harbour, no matter how young or old. 

 

Warland Reserve
Nestled between the Causeway to Granite Island and the Ocean St shopping precinct, Warland Reserve is a central meeting point in Victor Harbour. With the Whale Tale Fountain at the centre and peaceful green space around, it’s a lovely spot in town for picnics, community events, or just soaking up the scenery.

 

Cockle Train
Take a step back in history and climb aboard the Cockle Train to travel along the oldest steel railed railway in Australia, taking passengers between Goolwa Depot and Victor Harbour. The journey is 30 minutes in each direction, though it doesn’t run everyday so be sure to check the schedule.
