Good: How close was to Westfield's. Quick Bite at food court helped a lot. If needed, the bistro was available and discount vouchers were provided as part of the stay. Very clean room. Right size for 2 people. Nice King size bed. Quite q few nibbles in room as part of the package. Room service accommodating late clean up of room.

Bad: The 24/7 on light immediately in front of the bathroom glass window, streaming in all night. Had to close the bathroom door to prevent bright light being streamed in, which closing the barhroom door is expected, and not the issue, but if you woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, you are fully awaken by the light outside. Also, the gap under the door, is not that obvious until the sun hits it first thing in the morning (door faces east), and illuminates the room as a football stadium. Had to get up and place a rolled towel along the bottom of the door to prevent this. The Reception is within the bistro. We had our arrival of 23.30 to midnight agreed by email. The building where the reception is, was under some sort of renovations and could not access it There were no signs of how to reach reception, only the bistro. Finally worked out that was through the bistro. Bistro double glass doors were locked, even although there were people inside, I could see the security guy on his phone a few metres inside and other people on balconies having a cigarette. After sometime we were going to give up, and started to walk back when someone shouted, "They should buzz you in". Then I saw a group leaving and doors opened when the security guard pressed his buzzer. He apologized for not realising we were outside. I let it slide, but instead of his phone he kept an eye on door this would not have happened. Then we asked were reception was, he did not know. I had to find staff behind the counters and ask. First one did not know second one pointed us towards the back. Only access was via the pokie machines. Finally we got there. There was someone sitting at reception so I started to present myself and provide details of accommodation. He stopped us and said he was just a security guy having a break. He called someone in. This last person, was very efficient and provided a lot of information including discounts and the like.

Good: The beds were very comfortable & were made everyday. Nice little touches like biscuits & sweets to go with the coffee/tea were much appreciated. The hotel adjacent served great meals & the view of Melbourne city from the beer garden was lovely. Also very convenient... Doncaster Shoppingtown lay directly over the road with great shopping & restaurants. It may not have been four star, but it was certainly great value for money.

Bad: The TV was a bit hard to use.
