What to See in The Shoalhaven Region
Your adventure begins on The Local Trail in NSW in Nowra at the heart of the Shoalhaven region. With the Shoalhaven River to the north and Jervis Bay to the south, you’re surrounded by beauty in this sweet little pocket of paradise.
Picnic on the Beach
Pack a picnic and hit the beach for a relaxing stroll along the White Sands Walk. Find the perfect spot on the sand, throw down your blanket and tuck into your early lunch. Sit back and soak it all in, but be sure to keep an eye out for wildlife. This area is known for spotting dolphins, seals, little penguins and sea dragons.
Quaint Towns and Bushwalking Trails
Hampden Bridge, Kangaroo Valley NSW
Once you’re ready for some more action, head inland and take your pick from bushwalking (Budderoo and Morton National Parks are two of our faves), watersports on the river or a drive around the hinterland stopping in at quaint and historic towns. Some must-see towns in the area are Berry, Kangaroo Valley and Milton. With cute shops, lively festivals and fairs happening throughout the year, you’re sure to enjoy a visit to any (or all) of these charming towns.
Top it off with Nightcap!
