What to See and Do in Adelaide CBD
They call it the City of Churches, but Adelaide is so much more than that. As you join The Local Trail in South Australia, we’ll take you around the city to discover our favourite places, and who knows - maybe you’ll discover some of your own!
Central Market, Adelaide SA
Start your day at Adelaide Central Market. Come with an appetite and enjoy the delicacies on offer. Hop from one stall to the next and indulge in great conversations with the merchants. They’re passionate about what they produce and sell, and eager to answer any questions you may have.
City Sights
Adelaide Botanic Garden, Adelaide SA
From the market, head north and walk through Rundle Mall en route to the Art Gallery of South Australia. After wandering around the gallery, go for a stroll through Adelaide Botanic Garden for a dose of nature. If you stumble in the right direction, you may find yourself faced with hundreds of wines to taste at the National Wine Centre (wink, wink). If wine isn’t your thing today, Adelaide Zoo is not far from the Botanic Garden and has a great variety of animals ready to say g’day.
Top it off with Nightcap!
Circle back around to the CBD to check out museums and art galleries scattered around town, or wander through the streets discovering cute bars and cafes tucked away in laneways. As the day comes to a close, make your way back to your comfortable and affordable accommodation for the night.
