Nab yourself an excellent vantage point from the shore or head up to the Point Pendicular lighthouse for some of the most breathtaking scenic views the region has on offer. That being said, considering it's only a seven-minute drive from Nightcap, it's worth going just for the gothic-style house itself! Make sure to time your visit correctly, as Meroogal is only open Thursday to Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm!

7. Hanging Rock Lookout

Looking for an adrenaline-pumping activity to add to your itinerary? Hanging Rock by the Baltzer Lookout, just a seven-minute drive from the hotel, is ideal. Located in North Nowra, only a 10-minute drive from the hotel, the Grotto Walk is a two-kilometre loop that takes you past a farm, an orchard, and multiple cliff lookouts. Make sure you bring proper footwear though, as the hike also features steep zig-zagging entrances to reach the Shoalhaven banks!

9. Day trip to Bomaderry

Nowra's sister city Bomaderry is a quaint little town filled to the brim with old-world charm. Located on the northern side of the Shoalhaven River, Bomaderry is home to multiple bushwalks and the Bomaderry Creek Walk! Be sure to check out Bomaderry's own Cupitt's Winery and the incredible Abrahams Bosom Reserve, only across the bridge and 10-minutes drive from the hotel.
