Affordable Accommodation, Where You Need It
It all started in 2015 when we decided to renovate over 1700 accommodation rooms across 85 locations throughout Australia. We wanted to offer good quality accommodation at a reasonable price. Our hotels already operated extensive restaurants, bars and in some cases live entertainment, but it was time to reinvigorate them to offer contemporary, clean and modern accommodation in convenient locations, because that’s what our guests wanted. Spoiler alert: we basically smashed it.
Fast-forward 3 years to 2018 when the Nightcap Hotels brand was born, launching in May of that year with 33 freshly renovated hotels. The momentum hasn’t stopped since, and as we celebrate our third birthday in 2021, more than 60 hotels have been revamped and rebranded as Nightcap Hotels, from pub rooms and motels to 4 star hotels and resorts. And we’re not stopping any time soon.

We maintain affordable prices by keeping our focus on what really matters: comfy beds, speedy WiFi, large smart TVs, plus a free welcome drink and discounted dining in our on-site Bistro.
As Nightcap continues to grow, we’ve expanded to provide a premium offering in Nightcap Plus, with bigger rooms and more facilities in destination locations. This year will bring us the opening of Nightcap Social, taking the value, comfort and design of Nightcap Hotels and adding shared lounge and bathroom facilities to offer a communal atmosphere with an even more enticing price tag.
OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW
It’s no easy feat renovating one room, let alone hundreds! We’ve worked with AF Sourcing to create a truly unique style that maintains Nightcap standards while also capturing the essence of the local area of each hotel. It’s not just new sheets and a fresh lick of paint in these rooms. Interior Designer Erica Richardson said, “we try to work with the architectural style of the building … Once we’re finished with them, they really glow in their age”. During one hotel renovation we even found 100 year old newspapers in the walls of the building. Needless to say, it was an exciting moment and a great excuse to raise a glass to the history that lies within our pubs.

Despite the roadblocks faced by all in 2020, we continue to renovate hotels to hold the Nightcap name and deliver our brand promise: providing a great accommodation experience without breaking the bank. You’ll find us in suburban locations like Riverside Hotel outside of Launceston, Narrabeen Sands Hotel in Sydney’s northern beaches and Ramsgate Hotel in Henley Beach SA. We’ve also brought contemporary pub accommodation to destinations like Sunshine Coast with Waterfront Hotel, Kawana Waters Hotel and Golden Beach Tavern, Busselton with The Ship Inn and the Yarra Valley with York on Lilydale… just to name a few.
